TLC is pleased to have acquired WirelessWall from Cranite
Systems in 2008. WirelessWall is
a best-of-breed, proven solution for securing wireless local area networks (WLANs) that is relied upon by tens of thousands of people in some of the most sensitive and demanding IT environments. It
adds uniform WPA2-Enterprise class security
to heterogeneous access points and
can support long-haul 802.16 (WiMax)
bridges. This allows enterprises
to have campus-wide
wireless privacy, without
sacrificing their legacy network
investment or compromising the security of their networks. This robust, FIPS 140-2 certified solution combines enterprise-class network protection and seamless cross-subnet mobility support with highly efficient management.
Centralized Monitoring and Management
WirelessWall includes a single, centralized web-based interface for configuring, managing and monitoring the entire secure wireless network.
WirelessWall integrates easily with your existing authentication and directory services, making it simple to manage user additions, changes, and deletions. The combination of TLC's per-connection firewall, secure traffic control and browser-based system console provides administrators with total operational control over network traffic and security levels. Administrators can monitor the performance and usage of the wireless network in real-time, and quickly make adjustments to optimize the network or accommodate unexpected behavior.
Superior Network Security and Privacy
Unlike Layer 3- or VPN-based systems,
WirelessWall secures both the wireless data transmission and vulnerable network information at Layer 2. The solution is designed to eliminate exposure to a wide variety of network attacks, including Passive Dictionary, ARP Connection Redirection, Access Point Spoofing, Man-in-the-Middle and Denial of Service.
WirelessWall protects your network by authenticating every data frame and encrypting all network traffic, not just user data. Unlike VPN-based systems, WirelessWall encrypts and verifies all traffic, while hiding sensitive network addresses and preventing attacks based on broadcast or multicast frames.
WirelessWall secures your data from theft using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the preferred encryption method of the US government's FIPS 140-2 Cryptographic Module Validation Program. AES is extremely secure and very processor-efficient, making it the cryptography of choice for mobile applications.
WirelessWall enhances network control with per-connection firewalls that can tailor network access based on user identification regardless of their location. And per-connection firewall in WirelessWall provides a safe, easy solution for supporting guests on an otherwise closed network.
Seamless Mobility
Designed to provide robust mobility support, WirelessWall combines wired-equivalent service with seamless, uninterrupted sessions for wireless users as they move from location to location within the enterprise - even across subnets.
WirelessWall works behind the scenes to deliver all session information to the
WirelessWall Access Controller located at the user's new location. This ensures a fast, seamless transition without user intervention or disruption. Whether you require maximum security, efficient mobility, or minimal network traffic, WirelessWall is designed to facilitate the mobility patterns of all of your users.
Investment Protection
Designed as an open architecture,
WirelessWall integrates seamlessly with existing authentication and directory services and supports any mix of
802.11 a, b, g, h, j and
802.11n products from any vendor. This approach
supports the latest
WiFi technology, while still protecting customers' existing infrastructure investments, resulting in reduced overall cost of ownership.
